Really as a note to myself as I always forget how to do this. To turn off JIT debugging which takes an age to try to attach the debugger under the covers, you set this value in the registry

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework\DbgJITDebugLaunchSetting=1

At least I now know where to go to find that information :-)

recently I had a .Net.Framework update downloading problem...this was resolved by msn email support, what wasn't resolved was the "unhandled exception" error window which I can make to go away by clicking continue 7-8 times. this error came up ONLY after using a free registry software tool. I know that jit debugging has to be enabled to stop the error window, and I have been able to dicover the registry key that controls this .... but finding and implimenting this seems to be impossible for me...(I am not an IT person and not an experienced computer techie by any stretch of the imagination) I can follow directions and have a curiosity about about fixing and protecting my computer.. my question is: where do I go in my computer to find this registry key, and how do I set the value to "=1" so the jit debugging is enabled thereby eliminating the error window....I also read the I may have to find and fix this problem in a specific software that was installed.... CAN YOU HELP?
